Reel Earth: Environmental Film Fest of CUSAT 2011

Department of Youth Welfare,Cochin University of Science and Technology CUSAT is planning to organize a programme ‘Reel Earth: Environmental Film Fest of CUSAT 2011(Reel Earth: EFFC-2011)’ .A festival of environment related documentary films in various Departments of the campus from 08th to 17th August 2011.

 

 

Reel Earth: EFFC 2011 aims to increase awareness of key environmental issues by promoting and screening short and medium-length films and videos,
in documentary format,focusing on environmental issues,
produced in any part of the world.

Mr. Sibi Malayil, noted film Director has agreed to inaugurate the function at 2 PM sharp on 8th August 2011 at School of Marine Science Auditorium. Hon. Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramachandran Thekkedath Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Godfrey Louis; Registrar, Dr. N. Chandramohanakumar, will attend the function.

biosphere from never-before-seen creatures in the ocean depths to Attenborough
himself in zero gravity high above the Earth. The anthology is divided into seven
chapters covering different environments from “Snow and Ice” to “Jungles”, an
approach that both gives structure to the film and offers an effective vision of the sheer
diversity of life on planet Earth.
