The School of Engineering, Cochin University of Science and Technology, has successfully placed 215 out of 376 B.Tech students passed out this year, said an official press release.
The Safety and Fire Engineering division topped by placing 22 (85%) out of 26 pass-outs, with the Electronics and Communication (70%), Information Technology (69%) and Computer Science (68%) divisions following closely. The Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics and Civil Engineering divisions also fared well in placements.
Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad, also scored well in placing 80 out of 158 students who passed out, with the Computer Science division topping the list with 70% placements. The Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics and Mechanical divisions followed closely, the release said.
