Hey bro…Aftr the second allotment…derz not much differnce in d waiting list status….251 in instrumenation..it was 305…and 115 in d polymer scince..wich was 130…n sum 917 in com sci…so..ny hope of getting in the 3rd??

in the 1st alotment i got admitted to CS1P … in the 2nd alotment i got upgraded to EE1P i want to lock this is it possible???
As soon as a candidate gets allotment against a particular option, all his
lower options will be automatically cancelled. However, he/she shall be
eligible for automatic updation to his/her higher options unless he/she
cancels all his/her higher options in full in writing.
Not much allotted in the First allotement thats why… wait for the next allotement !!

First of all,you people are doing fabulous work as seniors, as it seldom happens that senior is there to guide prospective students with counseling process,choosing branch and sharing other details of college.Kudos to you people.
Now coming to point,i have a query.My brother has got CAT rank 2278(NON-KERALITE,GENERAL).And after 2nd list allotment WL status is 115(AIQ) for INST and 181(GEN) for IT2P(115 being the minimum WL status,for other branch it’s in range of 200-400).
Though i doubt he will be able to make it to any list(till 4th counseling) seeing current status but still i wanna ask that what’s difference between AIQ and GEN quota? I checked the last year rank table and it was 6262 for GEN and 598 for AIQ for INST.Why is it so? As far as i can comprehend both GEN and AIQ should be same thing,right?
And i read somewhere on this site that campus 1 and campus 2 placements are different.Do companies come separately for campus 1 and 2? Isn’t it a joint process?
I know its a lot of questions but please bear with it.And thanks in advance. 🙂

The Campus 1 Thrikkakara has some good Infrastructure and lab facilities, its close to university also .. some other factors also make Campus1 good in placements.. i m not saying campus 2 is bad…. !! both campuses are having equal value to university…
