CUSATian ranked 13th in Civil Services exam

Athul Janardhanan, An Alumnus of CUSAT has topped in the State at the Civil Services examination 2016 by securing the 13th rank.

What a proud moment for all Cusatians! The results for the Civil Services Exam 2017 are out and all spotlights are on Athul Janardanan, a CUSAT alumni,who topped the Kerala rank list of the prestigious exam with an AIR of 13. Athul is a B.Tech Mechanical graduate from the School of Engineering, CUSAT of the 2011-2015 batch. He is the son of M.V. Janardhanan, a retired Army officer, and Latha Janardhanan, a homemaker. IFS being his first choice, he hopes “to make India proud by becoming an efficient diplomat and play a role in improving her relations with other nations.”, as said in an interview given to The Hindu.

His stupendous achievement comes close at the heels after another Cusatian, Isha Priya a graduate from the CUCEK campus of CUSAT had secured the 75th rank in the exam last year.

The hardwork and determination put in by these Cusatians is indeed an inspiration to all of us to aim high and achieve the seemingly impossible. Hat’s off to Athul on realising his dream and may his breakthrough be the catalyst to achieve the dreams in each one of us.
