Akash, a student IHRD’s College of Engineering, Attingal achieved the apex rank for the B.Tech Computer Science Course examination of the reputed Cochin University of Science and Technology. Akash hails from the town of Kodumon in the Attingal region of Thiruvanthapuram District. and is the son of the former Delhi based Police Officer Mr. Jayadevan Nair and Mrs. Geetha Kumari. “This first rank is a tribute to my father, that blissful smile that I saw on my father’s face after hearing my achievement, that for me is the most precious gift of my life!” Akash said with unspeakable joy.

“My father worked as a Police Officer in Delhi. Due to renal failure he took voluntary retirement and had to settle in our native place. His condition is quite severe and he is forced to undergo dialysis for more than once in a single day. A support by somebody is mandatory for him even to get up even from the bed. Whenever I open the book or prepare for the exams the sorrowful thoughts of my father instigated me to focus and strive hard for the glory” Akash added.

Akash’s next goal is to crack GATE to pursue Post Graduation at Indian Institute of Technology, thereby he wishes to be a lecturer of this same course. He declined the job offered by a Private Enterprise which he earned through the Campus Recruitment process. He completed his Secondary Education from Sree Vidya Raja E.M.H.S.S, Attingal and Senior Secondary Education from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Thonnakkal. He completed his schooling with flying colours, scoring A+ in all subjects both in his SSLC and Senior Secondary Education examinations.
