GREEN ROOM VIi: Cultivating Creativity


It is observed that many students in the current era have low self-esteem and they are facing intra-personal and interpersonal problems related to academic, family, peers or career and they are needed to be encouraged towards the improvement of employability and social development. Working environment in the modern world is different from what they learned in the class room because of global competition, cultural diversity, latest technologies and lack of critical thinking.

In this context, The Department of Youth Welfare is organizing “GREEN ROOM VII: Cultivating Creativity” with an objective of improving team work, skill development, communication, body language and personality traits through theatre as medium among selected students of the University from 25th to 26th March 2017.

Objective : This programme aims at improving the quality of life through empowering students to enhance their team work, skill development, communication, body language and personality traits by challenging stereotypes and discrimination.

Registration Fee?
Nil.
Food, Jute bag and note book will be given. Participants have to arrange accommodation at their own cost. However, limited dormitory accommodation may be arranged in the hostels, Adhithi bhavan etc. for the non-hostellers based on availability. However a refundable registration fee of Rs.200 will be charged at the time of application. This will be refunded after successful completion of the camp.

Who can participate?
40 selected students from various Departments/Recognized institutes.

Invited Performances:There will be invited performances, as part of the syllabus of the programme, in the evening. Entry for pubic will be allowed for the invited performance.

How to apply?
Download application form from www.cusat.ac.in. Filled up applications should reach the office of Director, Students Welfare, Department of Youth Welfare, Cochin University of Science and Technology on or before 17th March, 2017.
Students can also collect applications from the office directly.
