After establishing a strong foot in the international arena, Amrita University, Amritapuri campus is organizing a first-of-its-kind all India student multi-fest “VIDYUT” on February 1 to 3, 2012. Planned in the lines with the university’s vision and mission, VIDYUT will host several technical, management and cultural events like paper presentations, workshops, invited talks, exhibitions, and competitions for undergraduate and post graduate students, with the theme “technology for humanity”. In this modern era of advanced science and technology applications in communication, warfare and cyberspace, VIDYUT 2012 events will aim to create awareness among the participants on how to utilize technology for humanitarian activities. This is also a platform to provide an insight into the contributions made by ancient India in the field of science and technology. To balance the day’s mind-breaking technical events, VIDYUT will also serve musical nights performed by the country’s top notch artists, on all the three days. This national level mega event is expected to attract young, dynamic minds from renowned institutions like IITs, NITs and other premier educational institutions across the country and abroad.
