As per the A1.RA.2013 order says
Several representations have received from students of School of Engineering/Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad and various recognized colleges who had availed the ‘One time special chance’ sanctioned vide the University Order read as (1) and (2) above but failed to pass their back papers, requesting one more chance, as a mercy chance, to clear the back papers, vide the letters read as (3) above. Having considered the requests, sanction is accorded by the Vice-Chancellor to grant one more chance for those who have completed the permissible period as per regulation to pass the course on or before 31st December 2014, as a Special Case, subject to reporting to the Academic Council. All the B.Tech students admitted from 2000 onwards are eligible to avail this last chance which is only for external examination.
The students have to write the exam in new scheme. The Dean, Faculty
of Engineering will identify equivalent paper.
