The foundation stone laying ceremony for the new academic block for School of Industrial Fisheries and dedication of Games Arena will be held on September 30 at Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Union Minister K V Thomas will lay the foundation stone for the academic block while PWD Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju, will dedicate the Games Arena. Both functions will be held at the CUSAT Auditorium at 11.00 am with CUSAT Vice-Chancellor Dr Ramachandran Thekkedath presiding. Pro VC Poulose Jacob, will welcome the gathering. MLAs Benny Behnan Hibi Eden, Syndicate Member K M Shaji, Mayor Tony Chammany, Kalamassery Municipality chairman Jamal Manakkadan, syndicate members K Sajan, Nedumudi Harikumar, Registrar A Ramachandran will speak on the occasion.
The Games Arena built at a cost of Rs 37 lakh has separate courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball.
